Hamilton Island is the largest of 74 tropical Whitsunday Islands located in the sapphire blue waters of the Coral Sea  -  home of the Great Barrier Reef.  The island is accessible via Jetstar, Qantas and Virgin Airways with direct daily flights offered from Brisbane, Melbourne, Sydney, Cairns, and Townsville.
You can also choose to fly to Proserpine airport and then travel by coach ( 20 min) to Shute Harbour, where you can catch a Fantasea Blue Ferry  to Hamilton Island (30 Min.)  Six daily services are offered by boat.  Both  overnight and weekly car accommodation facilities are also available at Shute Harbour if you opt to drive to Airlie Beach.
With transfers included  in our accommodation rates, a guest liaison representative will await you from either the marina or airport -  where your Hamilton holiday experience is about to begin!

CASUARINA Cove Villa 10 is about 500m away from the chapel. An uphill walk  so probably best to take the buggy or make use of the free island bus.  There is a bus stop a couple of doors up from the house and it will drop you off at the chapel.

Snorkelling gear is available for hire from the beach activities hut at Cateseye beach, where the man resort is located.  The cost is about $15 for the day.  Depending on the tides, you can walk out from the beach  with one of  the 'snorkelling safari' guides who will take you out to the best viewing area.    We often see the big resident loggerhead turtle and a lot of beautiful fish.

Going to the outer reef is another option.  Fantasea Cruises are the company to contact. The cost is about $150 per adult which includes morning and afternoon tea with a buffet lunch out on the reef.  They also provide all of your snorkelling gear. It takes 2 hours to get there but it is well worth the day's trip.

Deep sea fishing trips are also on offer  but you can enquire at the main reception at the resort  on arrival.  You can also hire little 'tinnies' with an overhead awning for half  a day so you can explore around the coastline and do some of your own fishing.

Please don't hesitate in contacting us with any further questions. Come and stay at Villa 10 Casuarina Cove for your next holiday on Hamilton Island.

 Regards, Mary and John Hewitt
