Shantara was centrally located, the staff were so friendly, the pool area was so inviting and a bit of a sanctuary from our old lives. Could not recommend it highly enough.

We found the Shantara Resort to be the perfect place for us to unwind and relax. It is close to restaurants, shopping and the beach. It is extremely quiet and beautifully presented. We definitely recommend it, and will be back, this time for longer.

Our first holiday in wonderful Port Douglas was made all the more special by staying at Shantara Resort. We enjoyed our spacious 1 bedroom apartment with its comfortable furnishings and attractive decor, and the view from our balcony overlooking the pool and gardens was very relaxing (as was the childless pool). The reception staff were so friendly and efficient, we appreciated their recommendations and the way they organised various sightseeing trips for us. The distance to walk to town was just sufficient to justify all we ate at the superb restaurants and cafes (not to mention the amazing icecream shop).

Thank you to everyone involved for making our 2nd trip to Shantara a relaxing and enjoyable holiday. We hope to return next year.

my husband and I stayed here for 7 nights we were greated at reception by Amanda what a beautifull person so friendy and very very helpful done all our tours the ones she thought we would like helped us in many ways well done Amanda our room was lovely very clean no noise so quiet and very relaxing just what we were looking for and the mangers of the resort were so helpful and very friendly we will stay there again and recommend it all our friends well done every one on making our holiday wonderfull marg

Great place to stay ,very clean and extremely quiet even though we had a room near the road.The heated poll was a great bonus [please keep it up ] lovely swimming at 8 in the morning,handy to shops and restaurants and good car parking underneath the complex so the car remained cool.We had a wonderful stay .

Fabulous place to stay,pool access room was great. Facilities were excellent as we're the staff. The barbecue area was great as was the car parking. Fabulous location within easy walking distance to the resturants and the beach. The nighttime security was a bonus. We look forward to coming back.

Well positioned comfortable apartment. We didn''t really make use of the faciities because of the weather, being so busy on day tours, and eating out in the evenings.

Spent a wonderful 6 nights at the Shantara Resort Great studio room with pool view. The room had everything you need, also a laundry outside your room to use which was very handy. The pool was wonderful, staff friendly and helpful, even confirming my return transfer to the airport so I didn't have to do it. Location is fantastic, central to the marina, the main Street and four mile beach. I can't wait to stay here again
