2nd time we have stayed in a pool deck room. We love the heated pools, adults only policy, peace & quietness, central location to beach, shops and restaurants and cleanliness of the whole Resort.

My husband and I have stayed at shantara 3 times and every time we have found that the rooms are always fresh clean and very tidy. The service is always great we can''t pick on any thing at all.the resort is situated in a great position it''s walking distance to all the shops and great restaurants. We love the idea of it being a couples only resort with no children, we couldn''t ask for a better place to stay when we visit port Douglas.

Total relaxation, we had a studio room which had a kitchenette. We used the pools and bbq facilities. Shantara is just a short stroll to Macrossan Street and Four Mile Beach. Shantara felt open and inviting, not too big and not too small, just right.

Enjoyed a wonderful 7 night stay in apartment 5A, enjoyed sunny afternoons on our own poolside deck and evenings relaxing in the spa pool. Thoroughly recommend Shantara for anyone wanting a peaceful adult only escape. As it was my birthday the management treated us to a complimentary bottle of Aussie bubbles. We would love to return again one day.

A very nice resort close to everything. The staff were very friendly and the rooms were very clean well furnished. Very nice and quiet only allowing over 16 year olds.

We have stayed here for the last four years and would not consider anywhere else. It is a wonderful quiet childfree environment and close to everything, yet just far enough off the Main Street to be quiet. Love this place it hits all the right spots for us.

We absolutely love coming to Port Douglas and this Resort - one of the best we have ever stayed in.

Shantara is a beautifully presented resort and the room was wonderful except for the above issue. The staff were very professional. We were disappointed that our swimout deck never got any sun on it. Otherwise, our pool was terrific and warmer than the other one.

We contacted Shantara after a previous booking fell through. It was to be a short break to celebrate the end of 7 months of Chemotherapy and Radiotherapy so extremely important to us on a personal level. At relatively short notice Shantara was able to accommodate us and went out of their way to assist us in any way whatsoever. The apartment was perfect in every way and spotlessly clean, beds were super comfortable and extra blankets provided if needed. The resort was pleasantly quiet and peaceful. For a small fee we were able to purchase a continental breakfast pack which we had intended to be a starter pack. It was so good we purchased another. We encourage you to try it - you won''t be disappointed. Shantara Resort is superb. We can''t fault it - it simply couldn''t be better. Congratulations to all the staff on working so well together to provide such an excellent holiday experience.

I had a great time . The staff were very friendly and had many useful suggestions in relation to dining , travel and eclectic interests . I could not have had a better stay !
