Loved the apartment overlooking the pool. Resort had a nice ambience about it - entrance reminded me of walking into our resort in Fiji last year with the water on both sides!! Very central to shops and restaurants. Staff very friendly and helpful. All in all a fantastic resort that I will recommend to family & friends.

Once again my wife and I returned to Shantara Resort and Spa for our annual holiday. As has been the case for the previous 4 years our holiday was perfect thanks largley to the team at Shantara. Everything from booking to check out is friendly and seemless. I would like to thank the team for helping us with our reservation this year as we had health issues and had to change a few things but nothing was a problem and we were welcomed and looked after at all times. I cannot recommend the Shantara Resort more highly and we are already planning our return stay.

What a wonderful resort in a fantastic location with easy walk to town centre. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay as part of a group of 8. Rooms were spacious, clean and modern with items such washing machine, dryer, toaster, fridge and tea/coffee making facilities included. Lovely BBQ area by the pool. Nice quiet resort, no restaurant however this is not essential as Shantara Resort is well located. No negative comments here .....

before we made the booking we looked at all the reviews and comments on line and on the strength of them we picked the shantara for our stay in port douglas, you did not disappoint it was just a perfect place to stay, the room was pool side, and was excellent clean as could be and the pool was perfect also, the staff were very helpful and cheerful and we would not have any hesitation in recommending the Shantara as the place to stay in port douglas, we will certainly be back again and thanks again for making our holiday all the more enjoyable.

This is our third visit to Shantara Resort and this visit was as good as our first. We have stayed in three different rooms and they have always been very clean and well presented. The staff are always willing to offer advice and assist with bookings whether it be for a cruise or one of the local restaurants. The Day Spa is also worth a visit. We will definitely return to Shantara on our next visit to Port Douglas.

We really enjoyed our holiday in Port Douglas. Being tourists we were out of the resort everyday so we didnt spend alot of time in the apartment.

We had a perfect holiday and even though there was so much to do around Port Douglas, when you've landed in heaven, that's where you want to spend most of your time!

Couldn't recommend Shantara highly enough. Nicely proportioned and spotlessly clean rooms. Beautiful pools and surrounded by lush tropical garden beds which created plenty of privacy. BBQ area excellent and beautifully maintained. Nice that there''''''''''''''''s a fridge in BBQ area too. Lastly, it is a very nice touch that bathrobes were provided.

The Shantara was ideal for us. It was within walking distance of the marina, shops, restaurants and beach. The shared laundry facilities outside our room was very convenient. We used the pool, BBQ and gym area daily. the staff were very helpful.
