We stayed at the resort for our 22nd Wedding Anniversary, due to my husband deploying in the armed forces a week after we got married we didn’t get chance for a honeymoon, this long weekend break at the resort more than made up for the wait. It was amazing in every way, the apartment was so lovely and the access to the pool was awesome, the additional touch of the hot tub made the whole stay perfect! We will definitely be back.

The Shantara Resort has become our escape for the wet, cold Winter of Auckland. This year we returned to Port Douglas again for the third time. The peace and quiet of the Shantara Resort plays a very important part in making this annual holiday a success. Our room is positioned at the edge of the wonderful pool, so when you need to cool down all you need to do is drop into the clear blue water. The staff could not be friendlier or more helpful, any request received instant response, I left my laptop charger at home and they found me one to use while I stayed at the resort, they just seem to go above and beyond to make our stay as pleasant as possible. The resort is a pleasant five minute walk to the beach and the main shopping area a short walk along a tree lined path. If we wish to eat out we were spoilt with so many excellent places to eat. Will be be going there again? You bet.

We choose Shantara for our 25th Wedding Anniversary. The location of the resort is fantastic, just a short walk to the main st, marina, beach etc. The accommodation is modern and superbly presented. The bed was super comfortable. We will certainly return to Shantara Resport!

Fantastic resort; clean, comfortable, plus nice and quiet. Great location; close to town centre and beach. Staff are extremely helpful and friendly; and take the time to experience the local tours so they can honestly recommend them to guests. Can't wait to go back again...

this, I am afraid, is just about the best place in my 65 years I have stayed at.... I will tell my travel agent that she is a genius for booking us here.....the room was a castle ...the staff excellent and the grounds absolutely first rate....very very happy

Beautiful accommodation. Very clean rooms and grounds. Well appointed. Great pool area. Close enough to the main strip, but not too close so it’s quiet. Warm friendly staff, who are happy to help with any questions. On arriving Dinah was very friendly and helpful, also helping us choose a tour to the reef, and advice on traveling to the Daintree, which was all spot on.

Thank you Shantara for a wonderful stay, our second time back and will always be our go to place in Port Douglas when having our kiddie free holidays. Lucky they are getting older, so will be on the agenda, more often! Love the location, the rooms, the serenity, cleanliness and the swimout. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
