Beautiful place, great location, friendly helpful staff, awesome pools, great rooms. What you said it had it had and more. Would come back to shantara for our next visit. We liked that it was adults only! Nice for just adults to have a real holiday and enjoy the pool etc in peace one of the reasons we were so keen but now we have many more reasons to come back. Your helpful knowledge of the tours etc and your willingness to help and book for you etc......you were just awesome Amanda, Sam, Sarah and your team. Thanks again we miss you already x

Thanks Team Shantara, We had a great time in Port Douglas and a lot of that is due to our choice to stay at Shantara. Our one bedroom suite was spotlessly clean, well furnished with a very comfortable bed, great kitchen with new appliances, great entertainment centre with large screen LED, DVD and audio unit, and a nice furnished balcony overlooking one of the pools. The apartments are a short walk to the beach and Macrossan Street. We preferred being just off the main drag. However, the team at Shantara make the resort great. They were very helpful from our time of booking to when we checked out. Their recommendation ensured we had an awesome day on the Great Barrier Reef and the transfer they arranged got us to the airport on time for our flight home, despite the Cairns Ironman event. My husband and I had 7 days in Port Douglas in early June. We booked this holiday with friends through webjet and it was fantastic value. We had a pool view room on the second floor and even though it was on the main road, the orientation of the room was such that we had no road noise at all. The room was large, the bed was huge, it had a beautiful bathroom and the little kitchen area with microwave, fridge, crockery and cutlery and was very well set up.Port Douglas is quite an expensive place to eat out all the time so it was good that we could buy our own breakfast and lunch provisions and then splurge on the evening meal. A bonus was the free washing machine and dryer just outside the door as well as a handy rack on the balcony to hang your washing and towels on. It is not far to walk to the restaurants, shops and to the marina and it has a really great BBQ area by the pool with all the things that you would need to have a BBQ- even oil and tomato sauce. One of the best things is that it is an adults only resort because as much as we love our own kids we don't want to holiday with other peoples kids! The staff were great, the room was spotless and it was nice to have pool towels as at other places we have been to you end up taking the bath towels to the pool or the beach.The ladies at the desk were very helpful and booked us on a few tours and gave us advice on the best tours for our needs. We would definitely stay at Shantara again - next time I might even use the gym!

We got late in and had a kind note waiting for us as we arrived with everything we needed to know. The room was very clean and they provided a complimentary bottle of Australia Chardonnay Pinot Noir for our honeymoon celebration. Our room was on the 2nd floor, in the corner with a pool view. The next morning we met Samantha (reception) and she provided us with a list of restaurants to try and things to do. I would recommend you try Chilly's Pizza & Trattoria restaurant and the Daintree Discovery Tour. Samantha did a great job to make our honeymoon comfortable. I highly recommend this resort!!!

Great place to stay. Central to all ammentities the town offers. Great veriety of restaurants with good meals.

We found Shantara to be a beautiful place to stay. The room was clean and cool, and it was a very quiet/peaceful environment to be in. The day spa was also a real treat. We found Samantha particularly lovely to deal with and she was very helpful when it came to choosing tours. We would definitely recommend Shantara to anyone.

If you are after an amazing resort that is within walking distance to the main street, has exceptional staff where nothing was too much trouble - then this is it :)

This place was quiet and comfortable. We were able to upgrade to an apartment which I recommend if you like a bit of space.
