Wow! This was our third visit to Shantara and once again we were not let down. The location is perfect. The staff are friendly, welcoming and happy to help out with tours, reservations etc. Rooms are spacious, modern and luxurious and feel like a home away from home. Shantara definitely has the resort feel in the heart of Port Douglas, and is a must to stay at. There is no reason to look elsewhere.

Fabulous accommodation, clean, quiet, close to town centre. Staff really polite and assisted whenever asked. Couldn't ask for a nicer place to holiday.

The apartment was clean, spacious, comfortable, and the pools wonderful. All the staff at the front desk are super friendly, helpful and booked all our tours for us, and made great personal recommendations. We had an amazing week in port douglas and the shantara apartment was a huge part of this. Thanks very much.

we were very happy with our accommodation. We stayed in 8A which is a Shantara apartment with pool deck and courtyard with spa. We didn''t think we''d use the spa but we did 9 out of 10 nights. It was the perfect temperature for a night cap and spa before bed. I wanted sun and this resort is designed for shade but 8A is the deck that gets some afternoon sun from about lunchtime till about 3p.m this being in May. It was perfect. Everything was great about this resort BUT I would only be able to stay in 8A because I need to be heated by the sun to entice me into the water. If you don''t need sun all other rooms are fine because the temperature in Port Douglas is very nice. Remember we were there in May, perhaps in Summer you would definitely need those shady rooms. The staff were very friendly and helpful. Our stay was definitely very relaxing.

We would like to thank both Amanda & Sam who helped us out with our booking last week at Shantara. We had a wonderful time and were very impressed in the very clean and well equipped resort. We will certainly be recommending Shantara to our family and friends(with no children of course). And look forward to returning sometime soon.

Much needed holiday with my partner. We got everything we wished for and more.. Shantara resort & spa is a real gem and in a fantastic location. Short stroll to the shops & beach. Loved the fact it was an adults resort only, this is not something we would specifically look for but it was a nice attribute to our already amazing holiday!

The resort was in a very convenient position,comfortable apartment and helpful staff..all ticks for a successful holiday.We really enjoyed our stay and have great memories of our Shantara,Port Douglas experience.

My husband and I have recently had a 6 night stay at the Shantara Resort as our last trip together before having a baby! It was lovely! Upon arrival, we were allowed to our room 3 hours earlier than the check in time, and the 2 ladies at reception were just lovely! It was a very warm and friendly welcoming. The room itself was beautiful and clean, and the bed was great too. Pools were beautiful, great BBq area too. The whole place has a lovely atmosphere. It is all beautifully kept and very peaceful. A short walk to the main street and beach to top it off. Really cannot say a bad word about the place. Would love to stay here again!
