My wife and I had our first extended stay away from our 4 kids and we could not have been more impressed with the Shantara resort. Our room was ready early so we checked in early and enjoyed the extra afternoon walking the streets of Port Douglas. The room was very well presented, clean and spacious, the bed was big and extremely comfortable - often a make or break thing for a holiday. It is within walking distance to everything so we parked the car downstairs and enjoyed walking which allowed us to also enjoy the wonderful weather. A great stay and we would certainly like to come back again.

The location of Shantara is excellent - close to The Marina, Maccrossan St and Four Mile Beach. The facilities exceeded our expectations. The team at reception are friendly, professional and knowledgeable.

As a single woman travelling this was a very positive experience,love your charming seaside town and will highly reccomend it to friends and my travel agent. The lovely lady at the reception,Dinah did all to make my stay as good as it could possibly be. Beautiful facility and appreciated the cleanliness. Would love to come back here some day for a longer stay.

Our trip, while somewhat planned, was in the end a last minute rush and we chose Shantara from a website based on availability, location and price. We were pleasantly surprised. It is a classy, boutique style resort - excellent value for money. It has a quiet, peaceful ambience. The car park is convenient but the location encourages you to walk to the main shopping area anyway. The rooms are well equipped and comfortable. We stayed for three nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Would happily recommend Shantara to friends and family.

My husband & I spent a seven night break here at the end of August. We stayed in a well equipped, clean, ground level apartment which was beautifully presented. The resort staff were friendly and helpful. Shantara is an adults only resort that made our stay, which passed all too quickly, very relaxing. We will definitely return and recommend to family & friends. Well done to all the staff who made our holiday so enjoyable.

We have stayed here many times and have never been disappointed. It is quiet due to no children policy. 2 beautiful pools, great location to Macrossen Street, and FourMile beach and restaurants.

My husband and I had a wonderful 13 days at Shantara, Aug 2017. We had a lovely corner apartment on the top floor which was very spacious, with an excellent spacious ensuite bathroom and separate bedroom. The apartment was spotless and had a clean fresh smell on entry. In fact, the whole complex had a fresh, clean scent throughout. The apartment was also so, so quiet and peaceful at night. Shantara is an easy short walk to the main street, and equally close to the beach and marina. The staff were also friendly and easy to talk too and the room was serviced sufficiently for our longer stay. There was also efficient notification of times of servicing. An added plus was the convenience of a washer/dryer just outside our door. Thank you Shantara for making our 6th holiday to Port Douglas the best! Our recent stay at Shantara was paradise, and we plan on booking same time next year. We have holidayed in Port Douglas 5 times and Shantara is now the accommodation of our choice. Our room was modern and very clean - we could not fault it. The heated pool was peaceful and relaxing and the BBQ area more than adequate to prepare food, if the choice was made to eat in. The beach, restaurants and shopping are all within 10 minutes walk. Great resort and perfect location. Simply The Best!

First time in Port Douglas and couldn''t have chosen a better place to stay. Shantara is absolutely beautiful. From the room to the pool and the service. Just amazing. Highly recommend. Will definitely be back next year

We came north to escape the Melbourne winter and to celebrate my partners 60th birthdate. What a perfect holiday. The temperature, the location and activities (whether you want to do them or not) are fabulous.
