Minor maintenance issue with missing grout in tiling on the bathroom wall (reported to staff). Also, a bin in the bathroom would be a good addition.

From the moment we were greeted by lovely Sara at reception we knew we had picked the perfect place to stay whilst in Port Douglas. Our room was well presented and spotless as was the entire resort. In fact the resort actually looks better in real life than it does online. Our room overlooked palm trees and one of the pools, as do all the rooms. The ladies at reception were very friendly and helpful and there are heaps of brochures at reception to browse through. The location was amazing with Four Mile Beach, the main street, the Sunday market, the Reef Marina and all the great restaurants Port Douglas has to offer within a leisurely 15 minute stroll away. With its perfect location and perfect accommodation we will definitely back to this Port Douglas holiday oasis!

We've stayed at Shantara 3 years out of the last 4, and stayed here for our honeymoon. It's a wonderful resort! It's 2 mins walk up to the main street and 3 to the beach. Staff are great - very knowledgeable and can book tours. The rooms are great, the pool is heavenly and there's a top notch day spa too! If you're after a peaceful, classy place to stay, Shantara is it!

Our 8 day stay at Shantara was fantastic. We enjoyed ourselves immensely. Very quiet, tranquil & relaxing environment. Terrific facilities accomodating all our needs. The day spa experience with Jane the remedial therapist was excellent. Her knowledge, professionalism and friendly approach are a credit to her success. Highly recommend to stay here👌

Thank you to all the team at Shantara! We had the most fantastic time, our apartment was well appointed, modern and luxurious. Pool is heated and beautifully set in amongst a tropical lush garden. Staff were friendly, professional and helpful. They ensured our stay was memorable. We've been to Port Douglas several times and this place is by far the best. Walking distance to shops restaurants and beach.

My husband and I did a lot of research before choosing our accommodation. We could not fault the friendly staff, (who were amazing with their recommendations), the accommodation was spotless, comfortable and had every thing you needed for your stay - umbrellas even provided - which we needed as it rained the whole time. The location is perfect just a nice walk into the main area and a good distance for everything. We chose May as the rain should have finished and so should the jellyfish however both decided to make an appearance but due to the Shantara our stay was brilliant we would not hesitate to recommend this accommodation to anyone travelling to Port Douglas. We loved this resort so much, the direct pool access from your room is so much fun and the hot tub in our Shantara Apartment was fantastic after long days of exploring the beautiful surrounds. Shantara is in a wonderful location, close to the beach, town and Marina in Port Douglas. I would recommend Shantara time and time again!!!!
