Great location, great service from the friendly staff. Nothing was too much trouble.

The room was clean except for the dishes. We had to hand wash every dish and glass before we used them.

We were totally pleased with our Shantara Experience, it is a great Couples Resort with privacy. We stayed on the bottom floor : pool deck so we could just walk out of our room straight in to the pool. It is within walking distance of restaurants. We didnt go out as the Facilities were good, and we could just relax in our own company and all the Facilities were great.Thank you Shantara, you lived up to our expectations.

A fantastic stay....we would say this is a 6 star resort. The pools were well heated, beautiful room overlooking the pools, clean & fresh, and peaceful (no kids). Well situated close to town, staff were amazing, and special thanks to Kay...for the taxi into town!!!. Hope to stay again soon.

Staff were friendly and helpful the 1 bedroom apartment was in immaculate condition. The grounds were beautifully kept will def be coming back

Shantara is perfect for any couple or friends who want somewhere that is close to everything and offers everything. It is a clean and modern resort perfect for a relaxing and comfortable stay in Port Douglas. We stayed in the 1 bedroom apartment with the pool deck, and loved it as soon as we opened the door. It had plenty of room to spread out, a spacious lounge separate from the bedroom, a complete kitchen to cook in and quick and easy access to the pool. We loved the fact that we were just enough distance from the main street of Port Douglas so that it was peaceful and quiet, however close enough to walk up to the street (less than a 5 minute walk) when we wanted to grab a meal or do some shopping. The resort is also a short work to the beach and the marina. The staff at Shantara are friendly and helpful and gave us some wonderful tips about where to grab a great meal. We look forward to the next time we visit Port Douglas as we'll be sure to stay at the Shantara again. We highly recommend it!

"Shantara" Meaning bright eyed. As soon as you walk in you can see that the complex is maintained to a very high standard. As a tall person I really appreciated the extra large robes supplied in the room. The staff could not have been more helpful and there help in printing boarding passes was much appreciated. The apartments are large and very well appointed and maintained. We would not hesitate to promote this place to our friends and family and look forward to being able to visit again sometime soon. This was our first time in Port Douglas and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay, we would certainly return and would again stay at Shantara. Both facilities and staff were excellent.

Location was excellent a short walk to main shopping area, beach. Thoroughly enjoyed participating in Yoga on the Beach. We certainly visit again for a longer stay.
